The understanding and modification of texture in medical chewing gum is one of our core competences.

One of the major challenges for the product developer is that any small adjustment in the amount of active ingredient, flavour, sweetener, or gum base may lead to changes in several parameters. For example, the addition of extra solubiliser might change not only the release of the active substance, but also the gum base texture, taste and stability of the product.

Therefore, it is necessary during the development phase to continually test several taste and texture-related parameters.
