We create pleasant and convenient products to help people counter health issues ranging from oral care to pain relief. We enable anyone to successfully stop smoking, and much more.
With the knowledge that pleasure and convenience lead to higher compliance and effectiveness of medication and self-treatment, we proudly play our part and take responsibility for achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. In 2019 alone, we provided treatments to consumers in 29 countries, enabling them to be healthier and happier – and able to live the lives they aspire to.
To accelerate the realisation of our ambition, we focus on our consumer reach, which comprises the number of:
- Doses manufactured and distributed to consumers worldwide
- Countries where our products are available to consumers
- Active ingredients offered
- Delivery systems offered
As a CDMO, we use our expertise to produce the best products available. But we rely on our customers to offer our products to consumers in as many geographic locations as possible. By reaching more customers in more countries, our products are able to reach more consumers. In cooperation with our partners, we provided more than 2.7 billion doses in 29 countries in 2019. We expect to surpass 3.2 billion pieces in 2020.
Developing new delivery systems creates variety in the products available to consumers, ensuring that more people’s preferences are covered. By combining our unique delivery systems with our extensive knowledge of consumer preferences and tastes, we facilitate higher adherence to treatment and thus higher quality of life. And when we add a new active ingredient to our selection, we enable a completely new segment of consumers to cover their daily medical or nutraceutical needs in a pleasant and convenient way.
Our continued research into consumer behaviour and preferences provides the basis for all our development activities and powers our ambitions to expand our reach.
Our R&D and science centres transform our knowledge about consumers into physical product samples which are again tested on consumers to ensure that we get all parameters right before launch. For example, we conduct applied scientific research into cannabinoids to provide safe, effective and convenient new products to previously unattended patient groups.
We work systematically to roll out our solutions to customers and ultimately consumers in as many countries as possible. All the while, we ensure sustainable and healthy production practices at all our facilities.
